One night as I was returning to my hostel in Santa Marta, Colombia, I ran into a group of guys from Ireland who had just arrived from Venezuela. “How’d you guys like it?” I asked.
“It’s a pretty beautiful nation,” a single of the guys responded. “Just avoid Caracas. I under no circumstances want to go back there once again in my life.” This is the type of the statement I’d been hearing before from people today who’ve been, which possibly accounts for why so few persons make it to the rest of the country to see some of the most lovely sights in the world.

Then make your way to Canaima lagoon exactly where you can hang out at the beach and watch the three famed waterfalls slowly feed the giant sweet water lake around you.
